Judges
Alex is Director of the Mobile Communications Business Group (MCBG) at Microsoft UK. In this role he is responsible for the strategy and growth of the Mobile Business Group, which continues to be one of the fastest growing divisions for Microsoft globally.
At Microsoft, Alex works closely with device makers, mobile operators, resellers and software developers to grow the market of next generation smart mobile devices. He is an ardent commentator on the key industry topics such as mobile and flexible working, and is regularly quoted in the UK national and trade media on these issues.
Prior to this role, Alex was part of the team that launched 3, the mobile operator, in the UK. He held various positions in the comapny including Head of Market Development and Head of Product Management. In these roles, Alex managed Games, Music, Travel, Finance, Ring-tones and other key products, and developed the full product roadmap, propositions, 3G portal and website.
